HUF EMBARCADERO COLLECTION -- Located at the northeast-end of Market Street in San Francisco, CA, Justin Herman Plaza—better known as Embarcadero, or simply EMB, by skateboarders—was an epicenter for skateboarding through the 1990s. Home to legendary San Francisco skate locals such as James Kelch, Henry Sanchez, Jovontae Turner, and Mike Carroll, and the site of iconic obstacles such as the C-Block, Gonz Gap, Big Three, and others, EMB truly helped shape and define an entire generation of street skateboarding culture.

In 1992 Keith Hufnagel made the move from New York City to San Francisco to pursue a professional career in skateboarding, where he quickly became part of the EMB community during its peak years. Though skateboarding became increasingly prohibited at the plaza in the mid 90s, and has since lost many of its original obstacles due to construction, EMB has undoubtedly become a lasting legacy in skateboarding history.

This season, HUF pays homage to the Embarcadero Plaza with a capsule collection featuring iconic photographs of the plaza by Bryce Kanights and Lance Dawes, encapsulating the spirit of EMB’s golden years in skateboarding.

The HUF Embarcadero Collection is available now at our HUF online storeHUF Los Angeles, HUF New York, and at HUF retailers worldwide.
